Many years ago I use to rent a dedicated server just to run software remotely. I used windows xp and accessed it remotely that way. Another good way is gotomypc product. You can read really good reviews on Bright Hub software reviews

I was doing my usual research last night on some of the famous pro bloggers personal blogs. A few like to get out and use the internet connections at cafes. I made a mental note of buying a laptop and trying that out. Me being a blogger mostly I tend to be stuck on the PC alone most every day. I will have to install some nice software to access my server.
