nursing home as a investment
May 11th, 2008 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

I have looked at different type of businesses that would be worth buying. My first plan is to probably buy cheaper real estate and build assets this way. I usually go on a website to research different businesses that are for sale. One that looks like a good investment is owning nursing homes. A few of the ones for sale I noticed were small business administration approved. This is the government agency. This is a sign that the risk is less then a normal type of business. The demand for nursing home space is great because of the baby boomers. Recently our family put my grandmother into a private nursing home. We didn’t want to do it but it was the best for her at this stage in her life. The doctors gave her six months to live and she has surpassed this already. One thing you do have to watch out with nursing homes is the illinois nursing home neglect. So you may want to do your research if your placing a loved one into a nursing home. My grandmother is in a catholic private one and by no means is it cheap. I don’t think any nursing home is low cost thats for sure. This reminds me some of the big wall street companies. chicago nursing home abuse attorneys is who you want to goto if you know anyone you think has been abused. This is not something you want to think about but its something you should really watch out for. I have seen hidden cameras on TV shows that catch these evil people. One situation I remember seeing on tv was one of the caretakers was caught on camera smothering a elderly with a pillow. They would never of been caught without this hidden camera. Im thinking of moving to mid usa, maybe Nebraska or somewhere around this area. So If I do every get enough capital to get into a nursing home I will be looking out for abuse. illinois nursing home negligence lawyer is the first company I will contact if I run into this situation on my own.

cher to takeover for Celine Dion in vegas
April 17th, 2008 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

Apparently Celine Dion isn’t going to be doing shows in las vegas. I didn’t confirm this but under the impression of this. The famous Cher is going to be doing shows in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She expected to start in may 2008. You can get Cher tickets at Ceasar’s Palace if your looking to have some fun entertainment while in vegas.

This reminds me of the Gene Simmons recent episode. He did a show in las vegas. He almost missed it when he broke down driving through the desert by himself. He was rescued by carrot top. I guess they have become friends. The dildo clued to gene simmons was funny as hell. Gene still says it was a masager. The guy who set Gene Simmons concert wanted to get him to do shows everyday for a year. Gene declined since it was too many days in a row.

If I had the chance I think I would move and live in Las vegas. I could only dream. Maybe if I get good enough at texas holdem and win some huge WPT tournaments. I almost got into a WPT 10,000 buyin tourny up in canada. I came in 3rd. I actually was shooting for 2nd or so . I wanted the cash instead. Its for sure money . I still made over 2k which isnt bad for 4 hours of play.

2008 Houston Rodeo Tickets
February 8th, 2008 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t even remember the name of the show on the country music TV channel. It’s the one with bobby brown in it and marsha brady. Bobby Brown is saying hes putting out a record and has gone country. Hmm. To me he is just doing whatever will make him some cash at the moment.

If you are the country type or like country things you should check out the rodeo in Texas.
Some good events and rodeos are coming up in Houston Texas. You can get some tickets at
Houston Rodeo Tickets. Lately I have been watching the country music station. Some interesting shows have been popping up. I don’t recall the names of them because my ghetto cable is old school.

Also a cool show I watch is Rob and Big on MTV. Rob bought a mini horse. He and big entered it into a competition for mini horses. They got something like 8th place.

This rodeo takes place in march and after each rodeo you get to see a concert. Here is a list of past artist. George Strait, Miley Cyrus, Hanah Montana, Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, Maroon 5, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Beyonce, Maze, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and ZZ Top. So go have some fun and check out that website and get your tickets.

November 20th, 2007 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

I remember in the past I would meet hot girls from the internet. One of my penpals was a girl from Malaysia. I still have her on my instant messenger but hardly chat nowdays. I talked to her on the phone for a hour once and my phone bill was huge. It was about 180.00. Back then Voip didn’t exist so I paid up the ying yang to chat with a hot girl overseas. Today you can talk on the phone for much cheaper using voip technology. It only cost 19.95/month. This service comes with a free softphone. You can manage all your contacts from a nice web interface. Also if you want a 2nd line for your cell phone they can provide that as well.

stephen kings the mist movie
November 19th, 2007 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

Stephen King makes some really good thriller movies. I remember when I was a kid he came out with the movie Silver bullet. It was released back in 1986. I was really enjoyed the modified wheel chair Cory Haim had in the movie.

One of my friends recommended me watch the movie Hostile which is showing on cable TV. This movie has some bloody parts. If your into horror movies check this movie out.

I ran into the trailer for the new Stephen King movies The Mist by Stephen King. The trailer shows a mist outside and a mystery to whats happening to the town. It did show some bugs attaching to the windows of a store many people are trapped in.

Another good movie that Stephen King made was Pet Sematary. A family moves out to the country to get away from the city life. The highway they move near has a lot of traffic from semis that kill animals. The family buries a cat in the backyard which is a ancient sematary. The cat later comes back to life. One day the family is having a picnic and cage one of the children wonders into the road and gets killed. They wonder if they can bury the child like the cat and the child will return to life.

I will mention this movie to a good friend of mine. He loves thriller movies. The Mist comes out this week Nov 21st. Be sure to go see it. Looks like a great movie.

make money with real estate
November 16th, 2007 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

I probably have mentioned it before in the past but I love investments and making money. The best investment anyone can make is in real estate. On the west coast were I live the prices have finally gone up over the years. They are still below what Los Angeles or Seattle Washington markets are.

Back in the late 70’s my dad bought a two bedroom home for $27,000. My parents just had my brother and later my grandmother moved in. So this was way to small of a house. They sold it for around $50,000 and used the profit to put down on the new four bedroom three bathroom home. I think they paid $78,000 for it. If they were to remodel it they could probably sell it for $400,000.

My dads cousin made a really good real estate investment. He owned a condo that he bought for $80,000 probably around 1980. He would still have it today but he got in financial trouble and had to sell it. He sold it for $300,000 however today it would be worth at least $500,000.
He does own a home larger then my dads that is worth at least $500,000 if it was remodeled or updated. If you really want to find a good price on property you should check mid state. You can still find great deals in todays markets in places such as real estate in Denver

taking care of family
November 15th, 2007 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

My fathers cousin is in his late sixties now. He calls over here quite a bit to tell me certain shows are on. He’s a sub school teacher. So History is his bread and butter. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure a few years back. He was even given a handicap parking permit to use. In his condition he was given at least three years to live. His heart is twice the size of a normal heart. Our family placed my grandmother in a care homes recently at the age of 96. My dads cousin says he doesn’t want to be in a home. The thing is people get these misconceptions that the homes are torture. When a person gets to the age that requires more attention then the average person can produce its the best option I think.
Like my grandmother needed medical attention that our family couldn’t really provide. She has bed sores needing to be rotated every two hours or so. She needs special lotion on her legs, needs to be changed and bathed. She also needs to be hand feed. She takes medication so she doesn’t choke. There are many things that a care home can provide that family usually doesn’t have the time. Its a 24 hour a day job to adequately take care of her. I wish others understood this but they don’t.

The music industry
November 15th, 2007 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

I like listening to music. It is something millions of people listen to for relaxation or entertainment.
I enjoy using Apples Itunes and listen to the free radio shows. I’m actually listening to it right now as I type. I found a cool thing out the other day. My brother works a company related to a famous musician. The owner of the business son is Kenny G. Kenny G is a famous saxophone player.

I have been a fan of hip hop music or rap ever since I was 12 years old. Back then I use to listen to hardcore rap such as N.W.A , Ice Cube, Eazy E. Later liking 2 pac. Outkast and many other rappers. They must of got a good music education to be so successful. I think Irv Gotti is doing a good job at music marketing. He has a new reality show on the Vh1 channel. J Rule is one of his well known artist. I have seen Ja Rule on Runs House another reality show on VH1. J rule and Run have children that are friends. I love business and music is a fun business. If you like interviews of famous people in the music industry check out the links in this post.

flipping homes with mice
November 14th, 2007 under ads. [ Comments: none ]

I’m really into business and ways to make money. It is just a passion of mine. So I watch TV shows that relate to making money or business. One of the shows I really like is about real estate and is on the TLC channel. In one episode the house had mice living it it. The house had been vacant for five years. The old owner was killed in a car accident. So before they could fix this house up and flip it for a profit they had to use humane mouse traps. They also ran into a small mold problem if I remember the show correctly. It always seems most of the homes they buy to flip have some sort of draw back to them. The mice were living underneath the stove. So they had to get more exterminators out and use a mouse trap to get the rest of the critters. I think this house made the most money for them out of all the others they have done. They paid 500k for it and ended up selling it for 1.6 million. It was so nice they made jokes to keep it as the company house.
